The CLERICATE of STRICT OBSERVANCE TEMPLAR

The CLERICATE:

Our Order issues to the Knights of the Temple Profes of Strict Observance the ranks of Clericate or Most Holy Order, namely:

  • Postulance
  • Clerical Novitiate
  • Canonical

These are priestly ranks strongly inspired by the Catholic liturgy and priesthood in their ritual form.

The union of the Clerics with Strict Observance was concluded in 1772 at the Convent of Kohlo.

The HIGH CLERICATE:

The Templar High Priests, unknown Superiors of the Order or Brothers of the Supreme Initiation, of the secret branch of the Order of the Temple, are co-opted within the last degree of the Clericate:

  • Grand Pontiff of Celestial Jerusalem – Very Reverend Mother Superior.
  • Unknown Superior of the Templar Order – Very Reverend Lady Abbess.
  • High Priest of the Templars – Reverend Lady Abbess of the Temple.

The following are received as a courtesy when visiting the Clerics:

The Knights Profes and Grand Profes Willermozien.

To the CBCS who have joined the Illustrious Order of Strict Observance, the Order holds the Willermozian Transmission and can transmit it to deserving people so that they can attend the Clericate.
